We are pleased to announce that Burford Orchestra now has spaces available for new players, particularly in the String and Brass sections, an exciting opportunity to join one of Oxfordshire’s oldest amateur orchestras.
We play three concerts a year in the local area and rehearse on Monday evenings in Witney during the school terms. No auditions necessary - just come along to a rehearsal to meet and play alongside the friendly members.
The Autumn Term commences on Monday 6th September and will include Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7

Run 10k Blenheim Palace Sunday September 26 2010 Run 10k, get sponsored and raise money to help beat cancer Enter now at www.run10k.org Starting next to the Pleasure Gardens at Blenheim Palace the course extends throughout Blenheim Park. Runners pass through some amazing scenery including the Queen Pool, Grand Bridge and Blenheim Palace. The course is mainly on tarmac roads but moves onto grass between the 8k and 9k marks. The course incorporates a number of hills and inclines and runners should be prepared for this. This is a fantastic course providing an achievable but satisfying challenge for runners.
